am sick again with flu and slight cough and i have been sleeping for 10 over plus hours. it's been so long since i'm sick for quite a time. guess i didnt fully rest well after my first sickness last week and it lead to a milder condition.
my mum will be back tonight from taiwan. it's been so long since i last talk to her and yup, so i'm missing her (:

got back some of my results and so far i'm contended with what i have. at least i've made improvements for some. sometimes i cant understand how are we going to apply the things we study in real working life next time. when we learn about vectors, calculating the angle, etc, or when we know how to calculate binomial and possion stuff, exactly where can we use them next time? it seems weird. hmmm, with A levels approaching and JC life ending, the future ahead seems to be uncertain. to lead a more fulfilling life, should we cherish the present or look ahead to the future? or is it a combination of 2? my parents have objected to what i wished to study in the future by finding the chance to dissuade me whenever they could. i'm afraid i couldnt hold on to my choice. i am so afraid that years later i would regret and they would tell me "see, remember what i told you last time?". but if i dont follow what i want, then years later i may end up regretting too. urrg, it's a tough world.
then there's the thing about going overseas. it does make a difference on where you get your paper qualifications from and how i wish spore universities have a bit more variety. and how i wish the world is not that practical.

practical- we're always told from somewhere that it's important to be practical. i feel that this word holds quite some meaning. if we're too practical in life, so much so that we dont want to lose out on everything(in terms of economical sense, etc), wont we jeopardies our moral values in one way or another? but if we choose not to be practical, then we would only be dreaming away in our own little world and lose out to others in this competitive world. so maybe we should just strike a balance?
