I simply love the chocolate biscuits from Candy Empire! All thanks to my brother who bought 2 BIG bags and 2 boxes home for me to savour on, never mind the calories that I would put on after eating them for they are heavenly! Besides, I can also run to get rid of the extra calories later on. It's a pretty good buy, considering the brand and how delicious the chocolates are, costing 16 bucks for all of them, at a discounted price of course=)

Hmm, and i received an sms from MOE (they are super efficient or shall I say direct people?) informing me that I've been awarded the MOE Teaching Award. BUT the controversy is this- I thought I went for a scholarship interview and the sms they sent are in 2 parts from 2 different numbers and the part of message containing the important word "award" (versus "scholarship") came in another sms which so happens that it was sent earlier than the top part of the message. If you managed to follow what I just typed, kudos to you cos it's just as puzzling as it seems to me at least=) It was close to 7 on Friday when I received it so I should call and clarify on Monday. It's not a prank(in case you're wondering) cos I've received sms-es from those numbers before.

I had mixed feelings when I saw those sms-es cos they are so many things which I've to weigh-citizenship issue, the teaching part and also the confusion I got about what I'm actually awarded. Of course, I'm actually surprised that I'm awarded one cos the comments I got from my interviewers weren't that great. I was so exasperated with them asking why I want to stay in Singapore that I blurted out "I have great faith in the education system of Singapore!" The man then said, "I guess we are not that convinced by your reasons!" Moreover, I still can't get that openness issue over me! If you checked under dictionary.com, you will discover that the word open has over 88 meanings! An eye opener for me I would say.

My read now-The Kite Runner. It's a great book-potrays an image about modern Afghanistan and they're many positive reviews on it and many copies are available in Tampines library! Oh, The Memory Keeper's Daughter is a wonderful book too!
